get organized - the second edition.

When I was a sophomore in college (I'm a senior now), I did a post on how I stay organized in college (which you can check out here). However, since then I feel like some things have changed. I use a lot of the same methods such as to-do lists and full calendar overviews, but I do them in different ways. I'm always trying to figure out what works best for me and I currently love what I have going on. So I wanted to share!

Let's start digitally.
This is the first year I've really abided by using my iCalendar on my Mac and iPhone.
I love it because I can easily plug in repeating events and add more along the way. I love seeing a day/week overview of what I have going on. Plus it's always with me.

I wish I could take credit for this glorious Google Doc, but I can't. I found the template here and it has been amazing. I wish I would've found this tool before my last semester of college, because it would've come in handy in previous semesters. Again, it gives a nice overview while incorporating a "check off" list to it.
I give it two thumbs up!

And just when you think it stops there, it doesn't. I think everyone needs a good planner (mine is from Bando). I've never been great about keeping up with writing in my planners in the past but I think that's partly due to the fact I didn't have the right one.
I also highly suggest using different colored pens for color coding. Love these Staedtler ones!

Again, more to-do lists.

Annnd another monthly overview. I know I'm on the extreme end of covering all of the bases when it comes to school, but it allows me to be fully prepared. Knowing what's going on allows me to be a lot less stressed as well.

Of course you don't have to apply all of these methods. If anything, I highly recommend just using iCalendar or a planner.

I'm sure my ways of organizing will change in the future as I transition out of school, but for now this works!

Let me know if you try any of these methods.
