my home away from home.

When you go away to school your bedroom is really your space. I assume most people have roommates in college, so it's nice to have a space that is yours completely. I love my room at school. Sure the furniture is a little mismatched and I don't even have a head board, but it's my space. I shared how I made my dorm room my own freshman year, so be sure to check that out here.

I want to preface by saying this isn't my entire room. My room is tiny, but I left out my desk, dresser and closet (for now). I'll also link below each picture so you're able to find pieces much easier!

Quilt: Amazon  | Sheets & Pillow: Target | Banner: DIY project

My outfit:
Top: Fabletics | Sports Bra: Fabletics | Leggings: Zella

While this shelf doesn't scream, "I'm a grown-up", I like it because I can hide a ton of crap in it. It's been a great storage solution and bookshelf through out college. My closet is also super small, so storing my shoes in a large basket is the easiest way to go.

Shelf: Target | Basket: Old (love this big one)

The top of my self is kind of my jewelry station. And before you judge me, the necklaces in that bowl are indeed cheap enough to be stored in that bowl. The "Kate" letters were crafted by my sorority big using Lily prints and mod-podge.

Bowl: Anthropologie (you can find these pretty cheap in stores, but I love this one)

This is my first ever gallery wall. And honestly I just used the nails that were already in the wall when I moved in (thanks Anna).

Elephant: Etsy | Love & Laugh Print found here | Other prints were gifted, mirror and clock are old

Last but not least, my lovely Raskog utility cart. I'm sure you've seen many articles on how to use these. There are endless possibilities. For this phase of my life, I'm using it as my night stand. And I didn't want to hide anything from you. So in the bottom I store my other hand bag, iPad case, wristlet, and snacks...haha. In the middle I have a basket with remotes/misc items, Kleenex, my Bible, commonly used medicine, and my favorite licorice! Lastly on top I have stereo that houses my iPad (which serves as my alarm clock) and charges my phone.

Later on I can totally see this cart being used in the kitchen :)

Cart: IKEA | Basket: Target (couldn't find a link, but is a "Knit Small Rectangle Basket")

Hopefully some of my tips helped for a small space of your own.
