My roommate recently purchased this dress and I instantly knew I had to get it. It's so soft and perfect for throwing on in the summer. I debated a while over getting the striped one (which I linked below), but decided to go for this gorgeous blue one.

I paired this look with a pink cross body and an amazing wood watch.
Jord is a company that specializes in wood watches. They're handmade and the most unique accessory out there. I attached some photos above of the unboxing, because I blown away at how this watch presented itself. It's a statement piece, but is so versatile at the same time. I went for the maple wood because of its light color, which like my dress is perfect for summer. Did I mention how lightweight it is? That is also a feature I love! The fact it makes a statement, yet doesn't weigh my arm down like most watches is a plus. Just some little things I notice in a watch ;)

I'm really trying to be more conscious of the pieces I buy as of lately. Since my parents moved to a new house recently, I lost a lot of closet space. So I know that when I return home for the summer I'll have to clear a lot of it out. But I have to ask myself, will I still wear this a few years down the road?
I've really tried to think about that when buying new pieces. I envision them in certain settings and how I can style them differently. Basic pieces that can be dressed up or down are great - especially as I'm trying to transition my wardrobe into being a little more mature.
I love this top (currently $15!) for that reason. It's a striped peplum, but not a traditional peplum. It's a little more flowy which I feel will still be a keeper in the following years. It will be great with white jeans or white shorts. I even think I threw a jean jacket over it one day too! The fit is great and is definitely a new favorite!

Also also, I'll be MIA for the next couple of weeks. It's that time again - finals!
