beautiful africa. part 2.

This is part two of my trip and I've been sitting at my computer contemplating what to write about in this post. Because there's just so much. There are funny stories, there are safari stories, and then there are the stories that can only be told face to face because they're so personal. So if you ever want to dig deep with me, email me, call me, text me.

However, I will say one of my favorite moments was reuniting with our sponsor child. This was so special to me, because I had met him three years before. So seeing his growth and how well he was doing was awesome. Being an only child, I consider him to be the sibling I never had. He's my little brother and having him in our lives is so special. I hope to one day reunite with him again. If you're at all interested in sponsoring a Watoto child or want to know more, I'd love to talk with you!
My mom sent me this adorable frame of my dad and me with him. Such a special meaningful addition to my room.

Another highlight for me was being able to watch my dad talk with a bunch of cell leaders (aka community group leaders) about evangelizing. So watching him stand up there and pour out into these leaders what he knows and loves was really cool. I'm so grateful to have a dad who loves the Lord and loves people.

We also went on a short safari and I don't have a lot of great pictures from it this time (due the fact we weren't able to get super close to the animals) but morning drives are absolutely breath taking. Sure rolling out of bed before the sun comes out is super hard, but it's totally worth it.

My other favorite part of safari was being able to see Murchison Falls. It's a waterfall on the Nile that is amazing. And it was way more powerful than I could have ever imagined. I really encourage any one who goes on missions in Africa to take time for a safari because you truly get to appreciate all of God's glory in these beautiful places.

(excuse the man blurred/chopped off in my panorama haha)

Like I said, I have hundreds of pictures to share and I have hundreds of stories to share, so if you have any questions, let me know! If you missed part one, you can find it HERE

Have a great day!
