what's in my beach/pool bag?

Rucksack: Shoplet Promos c/o  | Wetbrush  | Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil  | Paul Mitchell Clairfying Shampoo  | Ulta Sunscreen (in love!)  | Swimsuit: Guess (old)

Today, I'm excited to announce that I'm guest blogging for Remington Ready blog for Remington products today! I'm featuring my beach/pool bag essentials. You can read the full post HERE

*Three bonus tidbits you won't find in the post*
1. This rucksack is great for the pool or beach. The material is durable and can easily put up with the elements. It's so versatile that it doesn't have to be just for the beach or the pool. It can serve so many purposes. Plus you can get it personalized!
2. The Wetbrush is like no other brush I've tried before. My hair gets so many tangles it seems like a never ending battle. I don't know how it does it, but my hair can be free of tangles instantly with no pulling.
3. Take it from the girl with the blondest hair around, clarifying shampoos can be your best friend. I've tried them all (or so it seems), however I'm stuck on this one. To keep my blonde hair healthy, I use this weekly followed up by a good condition.

this or that: striped skirt part 2

Top: Gap (similar  Skirt: Old Navy  |  Shoes: Rocket Dog   Sunnies: Target

I previously styled this skirt as a more dressed up look. Here, I kept it really casual. I paired it with a mint scoop top and my favorite tennis shoes. It's the perfect look for running errands or lunch out with friends. I pulled my hair up into a fun pony tail to make the look even more relaxed.

I hope you're having a wonderful week!
The weekend is near!

this or that: floral dress part 2

Dress: Aeropostale c/o  | Cardigan: Ann Taylor  | Shoes: Target

I love what the power of a cardigan can do. It can transform any dress into being a little more sophisticated than it once was. The dress is so sweet and simple you don't have to accessorize a lot, which is great for a minimalist like myself. I simply changed out my sandals and wore a delicate necklace to top off the look. Which one do you like better?

always comfy.

Tank: Pac Sun   Chambray: Old Navy   Jeans: Aeropostale c/o   Shoes: Rocket Dog   Sunnies: Ray Ban

Y'all already know how much I love these jeans, since I raved about them in this post. But as I said, I keep reaching for them. With all of these rainy days in the midwest, it's been a tad chilly. So it feels like spring is hanging around for just a bit longer. I love this casual look. Each piece is so versatile and you'll continue seeing them in future posts.

Kidogo Kidogo iPhone Case GIVEAWAY!

I am SO excited to host this giveaway! This phone case is more than just a phone case. The brand, Kidogo Kidogo, strives to do so much more through these cases. For every phone case purchased a woman in Tanzania receives a cell phone.
Kidogo Kidogo explains how important a phone can be for these women by saying, "A mobile phone is so much more than a device for making calls. It's a flashlight, an alarm clock, a watch and a radio. It’s a way to make secure banking transactions, check weather, and receive health reminders and updates. A mobile phone can be a life-changing tool."
Kidogo Kidogo means "little by little" in Swahili and little by little they're making a difference. That's why I'm so honored and excited to be working with this company.

Enter below to get your very own Kidogo Kidogo case and spread the word about what this company is doing!

Giveaway winner will be announced next Friday! (June 13, 2014)

this or that: striped skirt

Top: Old Navy  Skirt: Old Navy  Shoes: Target (old)  Bag: The Limited

A while back I ordered this striped cotton skirt from Old Navy and I love it! It's a stretchy cotton material that is perfect for dressing up or down. For this look I paired it with a chambray top and some gold wedges. I topped off the look with an triangle necklace (from F21) and my beloved tote. Check back later this month for the second way I styled this skirt!
