If you haven't noticed, I've added a travels tab to my navigation bar!
Why might you ask?
Well if you know me or have been following my blog since I started, I planned to go back to Uganda last summer. Unfortunately that didn't happen. HOWEVER! I'm going back this summer and I can't wait to document it all.
Through lots of prayer, I'm so excited to have the opportunity to go back to this beautiful country and serve its beautiful people.
If you want to learn more about my first trip, I've made two previous posts about it HERE and HERE

I'm so excited to see what God will show me this summer. I also can't wait to see our sponsor child Steven again! It's crazy to think I first met him when he was 4 and now he'll be 7...what!!
Anyways, this is just a short post to update you all and let you know what's going on in my world.
I've been on such a blog hiatus because of school. I'm missing it terribly. But I haven't forgotten about it. I promise!
I'll be updated you on more things in my life here soon.

get organized.

I'm back into my school routine which is why my blog is suffering (again). This horrible winter weather doesn't help either. So instead of waiting around, I thought I'd incorporate more lifestyle posts! I'm sharing how I stay organized in college.
Here we go!

1. A large desk calendar. This works for me because I can put my very most important dates on it. I only put down long term goals so it isn't bogged down with daily homework assignments. This includes: sorority events, games, and exam dates. Color coding is also a must for me.
I also do this exact same method with my planner for an at a glance look when I'm away from my desk.

2. As for assignments due weekly, I create to-do lists. Last semester I simply did this using a post-it note app on my desk top. This year, I found an awesome app called Todoist. I love it because I can see what I need to do day by day. However, the best part is it syncs to my computer as well.

3. Lastly, as much as I like taking notes on my computer, I force myself to hand write for some classes. It helps me focus and not get distracted on Facebook. It also helps having some adorable notebooks and school supplies!

It's really quite simple. I love having a big picture and detailed view of my week and month on hand at all times. It's worked for me well so far and eliminates deadlines or exams sneaking up on me.

Until next time, stay warm!
