happy birthday!

So this post is way over due because I had some stellar ideas for my birthday post, but they fell through. Busy schedules and weather got in the way.
However, I could not get by with out doing some sort of post to review on the first year of my blogging career.
Let me just say, this has been an absolutely amazing experience. If you had told me I'd be featured on Lauren Conrad or that Aeropostale would ask me to promote their awesome new products, I would've thought you were joking a year ago. I love everything about blogging and how rewarding it can be.
Creating posts every few days isn't easy and I give major props to those who get to do this for a living.
Because I don't about the rest of you but I've done sweaty outfit changes in the back seat of my car and I've faked a smile while freezing my butt off in the cold. I'll be the first to tell you that blogging is a huge commitment. BUT I'm going to be all cliché and say that I'd do it over and over again.
And I will.
It's taken lots of planning and has forced me to expand my style. Before my blog, I wouldn't have considered myself super fashionable by any means, but I like to think I've grown.
My blog is about creating outfits that can be worn everyday by everyone. I don't have the budget of a gazillionaire and I like to constantly find ways to wear different pieces in my wardrobe.
I hope to continue to achieve that goal as I continue blogging.
As for thank yous - My number one thank you goes to Jacy of Lenore Lamé. Thank you for being my biggest encouragement and helping me get tons and tons of outfit pictures. My blog probably wouldn't be alive if it weren't for you!
Also, thank you to anyone who has taken pictures for my blog. I truly appreciate it. You all make it happen. (Specifically my mom. You've been a huge encouragement and help.)

Okay, so now that I've basically written my heart out I'll end by saying, thank YOU all for reading! I'm blessed that what I put my heart into is actually being read. I love doing this and I plan on blogging for as long as I can!

(Based on the level of cheesiness I just reached, you'd think I had just won an Oscar or something...)

xoxo

  2. Happy 1-year birthday & anniversary! I'm so proud of you and the amazing opportunities you've had already.
Thank you for the incredibly sweet mention. I've always been happy to help, and you've helped me even more!! I don't know what I would have done without your photos at school last year, and miss doing photos together. Working full time has really put a damper on my photo abilities :(
You have done a great job of balancing everything though! And you have a distinct look style and creativity-wise...which is so valuable in the blogging world. Keep up all of your hard work and keep speaking your genuine voice!

    xoxo!
