meet kelli.

Meet Kelli! When Jacy, blogger of lenore laméand I can't get together to shoot pictures, my wonderful friend Kelli helps me out. She's such a sweetheart and I truly value to the time she takes out of her very busy schedule for my blog. I wanted to spotlight her to show my appreciation for her!

Thanks again Kelli for all your help this summer!

Shorts & Top: F21 (old) | Wedges: Target

With any season I feel like my looks can almost become redundant. Too many looks with shorts in the summer and too many looks with jeans in fall, winter, and spring. At least with shorts there's the option to spice things up. Colored or printed bottoms can dress up any summer look and create more interest. Don't get me wrong, I love a good pair of jean shorts, but mixing it up is much needed. I love these shorts and can easily pull out any of the colors and pair different tops with them. This slouchy tee is perfect a breezy for humid summer days! Stay tuned, I'll be featuring another fun pair of shorts in the weeks to come.

U lala: Mixing Prints

This week on U lala, my post was about print mixing. Check it out HERE

school spirit.

Tank: Target (old)  | Skirt: Local Boutique (Staxx | Sandals: Aldo (old)

I'm heading back to school in just a couple of weeks and before the craziness of school hit, I thought I'd post a look perfect for football games and tailgates. This look doesn't even have to be for games specifically, it just happens to work out perfectly for my school colors.
You could easily dress this look up with a cute wedge or strappy black heels. Either way, high waisted minis are cute go-to look for summer. For a colder weather look, check out this one

guest blogging!

Dress: Ann Taylor |  Shoes: Antonio Melani

Today this look is being featured on Courtney's blog of All Things Unpredictable & Chic. You may remember Courtney from the collaboration post I did with her featuring graphic tees
Anyways, I love this look for how classy it is. I'm still a college student, but internships will be coming my way and dress attire is always important to have in your closet. Nude heels are also a must have! I just got these and love them because the heel isn't too high or too short. You will see these in post to come for sure!

P.S. Tomorrow is Friday!
Hope your week has been great!

iced chai.

I really needed to post today because I'm all about staying on schedule for posting. BUT I have a guest blog post that I'll be putting up on Thursday so that throws me off. So I was thinking, "What do I post?" and I remembered, I never shared my first post on U lala with you all! I have to give all the credit to my aunt on this one. I went to her house one day and she so effortlessly made an iced chai just like the ones you can buy at Starbucks. So yummy and way too easy!

that 70's dress.

Dress & Necklace: Local Boutique (Staxx) similar dress here | Wedges: Target | Bracelets: Express

I wouldn't consider this dress 70's by just looking at it, but when I put it on with this medallion (as I'd like to call it) I felt so 70's. In a good way! It's so flowy and the sleeves are so unique. It's the perfect pop of color for summer too! I included a link above to a dress very similar to it (thanks to Jacy for finding it!) and I love the mint color as well.

Happy Saturday!

{special thank you to my dear friend, Kelli, for taking these photos}

polka dots.

Top: American Eagle (old) | Shorts: The Limited (on sale!) | Necklace: F21 (old) | Sandals: Target (on sale!)

These shorts! I bought them in the spring and couldn't wait to style them this summer! There are endless possibilities of pairings for them. Although, for this look I kept it classic with a white tee and a statement necklace. Another thing I love about these shorts are the length. With my tall frame it's hard to find shorts that don't look too short on me and these are the perfect length. Hurry and get yourself a pair while they're on sale! Same goes for my beloved Target sandals! I get so much use out of these and totally recommend them!

Happy Wednesday! The weekend is almost here!

This look can be seen on my Alpha Chi sister, Kat's,  blog today. Check out some of her fabulous writing HERE.

U lala

I'm so excited to announce that I'll be a campus contributor for a new website called U lala! It's a site that features just about anything and everything that a girl could love. Fashion, food, things to do on the weekends, you name it! There are only a handful of schools with contributors right now, but this site is sure to grow! With that being said, I don't want you to miss any of my posts so I'll be sure to give you a sneak peak via my blog (each time I have a new post) and a link to the full post on U lala. All of the contributors are so creative and I'm thrilled to be a part of this! Check it out HERE

I hope you all have had a good weekend! I'll be coming at ya with an outfit post this week!

happy 4th!

This is just a short, quick post wishing you a (belated) 4th of July! I hope you all had a wonderful day!
