Necklace: Very Jane (such a neat website!) Sweater: American Rag (Macy's. old.) | Jeans: F21 | Booties:  F21

It's almost spring! I mean, it technically is, but my spring break started off with lots of snow. It finally warmed up the end of this week and it's just in time for Easter. I thought this knit blouse was the perfect transition from winter to spring. The back has the cutest sheer floral print on it!
My dear friend Kelli was so kind to take some pictures for me. We have such a great time and Kelli has become quite the photographer. (Check her out here!)

Hoodie: Eddie Bauer (old) |  Cords: Ann Taylor Loft (discount was in store)  Shoes: Rocket Dog (similar)

My blogging schedule has been thrown off so to get back in the swing of things I thought I'd post these killer red cords. Best part, my mom scored these and black pair from Ann Taylor Loft for $4.99. Say what?! How does she do that? Anywho, I met up with my lovely friend Mandy for lunch today and I'm so grateful she snapped a few pictures for me. I kept this look causal and sweet with a not so average hoodie (it's not on backwards!) and tennis shoes.
Have a great rest of the week!

This is the last week before spring break and I haven't even thought about blogging (pathetic, I know). But I thought I'd update on my Africa trip and share some photos from my last trip. If you haven't seen my first post regarding Africa, you can check that out HERE. Anywho, the original plan was to return back this summer and complete the medical lab we started building in the Watoto village of Suubi. Unfortunately, we still do not have the funds to complete our build and will continue fundraising and (hopefully) return next summer. I was bummed to find this out, but I know it's all a part of God's plan.

I hope everyone has a great rest of the week! The weekend is almost here!

leather. part 2.

Jeans: AG Jeans  Heels: Target  Top: F21

I don't think you realize how excited I am to feature these leather jeans again. I've been waiting forever!  My style isn't very edgy, but these totally make up for that. This time around, I paired these jeans with a mauve colored top and neutral heels. I love the detailing on the sleeves of this shirt. The top and shoes pair so nicely while allowing the jeans to steal the show. With spring right around the corner, I didn't know when I'd be able to wear these again! Is it bad to say I might be in love? (haha!)
I hope you all have a wonderful week! I'm counting down the days until I get to go home for spring break! (5 more! whoo!)

chambray casual.

Chambray: Marshall's  Tank: Old Navy   Scarf: I think Urban Outfitters but I can't remember! :/   Jeans: F21   Boots: Steve Madden

Chambray is so versatile and one of my favorite ways to wear it is as a casual every day look. Pairing with a darker denim on bottom helps to not make the outfit look like TOO much denim. This outfit is so typical for me as an everyday look. I've probably said this a hundred times, but I'm just so simplistic and my style is fairly laid back. This look would be perfect for running errands on the weekend.

Hope your weeks are going well!

Peplum, Necklace, & Jeans: F21  | Shoes: White House Black Market

This is my second look photographed by the ever so talented Casey Batezel. Unfortunately, all of the full body pictures we took of this outfit were not too flattering. Either way, you get the idea! I paired this black peplum top with a pair of skinny jeans. I then added this statement necklace and my bow heels! It's the perfect look for a date or a nice dinner out with girlfriends.

Hope your weekends are going well!

where are you spring?

Jeans, Tank, Booties: F21  |  Sweater: Fate (bought at boutique)

We're still getting a few flurries and I'm just dying for spring. Although I have to say, I was excited to wear these new booties I got for a steal online from Forever 21! Also, this is probably my favorite sweater of the season, so I'm excited to feature that as well. I love looks that are comfortable and casual. If you haven't noticed by now, I'm all about being simplistic!

(P.S. Thumbs down for cowlicks. They drive me nuts!)

snow days.

Top: The Limited |  Boots: Hunter |  Lips: Baby Lips

We recently got hit with two snow storms and today was the perfect chance to get back out and take some pictures. I love this silk blouse because of its adorable bow and cut outs on the neck line. It can easily be more dressed up with heels or dressed down with some boots. It's still yucky outside so I've been opting for my Hunter rain boots quite frequently. I topped off this look with a fun curly pony tail and soft pink lips!
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
