hair care. part 2.

No you’re not experiencing déjà vu, I am talking about haircare and Maple Holistics again! In my last post, I talked about their Tea Tree Oil Shampoo and how it has done wonders for my scalp. Maple Holistics was kind enough to send me another shampoo to try and today I’m talking about their Argan Oil Shampoo.

This shampoo truly makes my hair feel soft and healthy. I can almost immediately feel the softness after towel drying my hair. The smell is very mild and it’s also sulfate-free. I’ve heard about sulfate-free products, but never really understood what it meant. Turns out, sulfate can really dry out your skin and hair by stripping it of its natural oils. Which explains why my hair feels so good when using these shampoos. I love alternating between the Argan and Tea Tree Oil shampoos to keep my hair as healthy as possible.

Do you use a sulfate-free shampoo and have you noticed a difference?

Shampoo: Maple Holistics c/o

Everyone's hair needs a little TLC. For me, it's maintaining my natural blonde color to keep it as bright and cool as possible. Aka I've gone through a lot of purple shampoo in my lifetime. However recently I started noticing I had a dry scalp. Nothing major, but it bothered me. I tried Head and Shoulders, but that didn't help. So I asked my hair stylist what I should do. She said Head and Shoulders is to treat dandruff and it does that by drying out your scalp first. So I was actually making things worse.

Coincidentally, Maple Holistics contacted me around this time and offered me to try their tea tree shampoo. I was skeptical, because I really don't like the smell of tea tree oil, however I read the description and was sold: "this shampoo can improve hair and scalp health while promoting hair growth and even slowing hair loss." I've used it for a few weeks now and have truly seen a difference in my scalp health. Not sure my hair has grown a whole lot, but I do recommend this shampoo.

Maple Holistics has a ton of other products that I'm interested in trying, so if the tea tree oil shampoo doesn't peak your interest, I'm sure one of their products will. Check out their free samples program to test out one of their products and let me know what you think!

tote organization.

Tote: Madewell (similar) | Laptop Case: Amazon | Organizers: Rebekah Scott Designs c/o

If anyone knows me, they know that I love to be organized. However, I'm not organized in every aspect of my life and my tote is often times a hot mess of receipts, gum wrappers, and obscure objects. I kid you not, I had a package of trail mix explode in my purse and the remnants sat at the bottom for far too long. So needless to say, I was so pumped when Rebekah Scott Designs sent me this bundle. The bundle comes with a makeup bag, a wallet, and a coin purse (which I've turned into a little pouch to hold medicine). Best part? The fabrics are so cute and I love how they all look together.

Rebekah Scott Designs is offering y'all $10 off $100 (minus the bundles, since they're already discounted!)

Happy shopping and organizing!

Watch: JORD c/o | Top: Gap | Pants: Gap | Jean Jacket: LOFT | Shoes: Arturo Chiang (similar) | Rings: Pandora [1] [2] [3] [4] | Necklaces: Madden Christopher and Vanessa Mooney

Wow. Time has really flown by since my last post (that's my attempt at a watch pun). I updated you all on Instagram at the beginning of the year that I was on a hiatus for various reasons. But I told you I wasn't done completely! When JORD approached me again (see my last Jord post here) I couldn't say no. The first watch they sent me was so unique and beautiful. However, this watch is probably my new favorite. The gold tones are perfect for neutral looks like this one. It's casual, yet intricate. They've even stepped up their packaging, which I didn't think was possible, because I thought their old boxes were already cool. Definitely give JORD a 10/10 for packaging and product.

For this look I paired it with my favorite jeans, some fun wedges (borrowed from my roomie - thanks Abbey!), and the perfect mod sunnies.
